The fourth instalment of South African Menswear Week, the 2016\/7 Spring Summer collections, will take place in Cape Town, from the 6th to the 9th of July 2016.<\/p>\n
With the February 2016 Autumn\/Winter collections in February being hailed by media, industry and designers as the “fashion week to be at”, and with rising interest in the menswear segment, the July SS collections promise to deliver and build on the foundation of previous seasons.<\/p>\n
Returning once again to the Cape Town Stadium due to popular demand from designers, media and guests, the internal layout and space usages will see a complete change from previous seasons. \u00a0Still housing two full show spaces to accommodate all designer shows, there are new additional lounges, hospitality and dedicated showroom spaces for guests to visit. \u00a0 \u00a0The focus will be on an all evening \/ night experience for guests, whether they attend all shows or not.<\/p>\n
However the heart of SA Menswear Week is the designers on the lineup. \u00a0\u00a0A truly curated schedule of the best menswear design from across not only South Africa, but the continent too. \u00a0More than 55 designers will be presented to media, buyers and industry over 4 days of shows. \u00a0 The highest return rate of any fashion week in South Africa, SAMW SS16 will also have exciting new additions to the schedule, to be announced on 22 April 2016. \u00a0 Presentations, rail showrooms and catwalk shows promise to deliver all of this to a high-energy, world class standard.<\/p>\n
The public are not excluded from the four days of non-stop action. \u00a0 Limited\u00a0tickets for most shows will go on sale at\u00a0Webtickets from 10 May 2016. \u00a0 But there are also\u00a0public spaces, showrooms, activations and new standing areas for those wishing to spend an evening surrounded by fashionistas, media and celebrities, all whilst enjoying the biggest fashion week in South Africa.<\/p>\n
An extensive talks, presentations and shopping schedule will be built around the show schedule. \u00a0From trends talks to panel discussions to student days, the schedule of SA Menswear Week even has 2 official afterparties on the Friday and Saturday for guests to attend.<\/p>\n
